100954391 Lakers Get Benched…in Phoenix

Attention all Lakers fans…… step away from the ledge.  It’s going to be OK!

In game 4 the Phoenix Suns continued their home dominance over the Lakers with a 115-106 victory. The Suns were led by their bench who collectively contributed an eye-opening 54 of the teams 115 points.

For the detail of the beating keep reading after the jump!

The Lakers were never able to get it going. Kobe Bryant didn’t attempt a shot until the 2-minute mark of the 1st quarter. He went on to score 15 points in the 2nd and 16 in the 3rd for a game high 38 points, which kept the Lakers close for most of the game.

Once again, Phoenix was able to clog the paint forcing play to the perimeter. The Lakers attempted 28 3-point shots making only 9 of them. Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum had sub-par performances in the loss.

It’s rare to see an NBA coach play match-ups with the opposing teams bench, but Phil Jackson MUST try to spread out the minutes of his top 6 guys in hopes to counteract the surge off the Phoenix bench.

Los Angeles is 7-0 at home during the 2010 Playoffs. They look to continue their home winning streak Thursday at 6:00PM PST.
